     This is the first cemetery in the Database rather than just being a web page.   Thanks to a PHP and MySql class at Northwest ISD the new backend for TEAFOR2.COM is taking shape.  Look for the following in the future:

1. Create your own signon for Teafor2.

2. Describe your own cemetery listings ( users with a signon ).

3: Describe your own pictures in your cemetery(2) for users with a signon(1).

4. Add comments to others pictures'.

5. As I get more old photos moved into the database, add a search function.

4/17/2007:  In posting updates to Rootsweb Surname Boards for the above cemeteries, I notice that most of my posting for this month have been deleted from the Boards that reside on RootsWEB/Ancestry sites.   Over a hundred hours of work on my part just washed down the drain.   What next?  I assume they will just close me down since I posted some comments on the RootsWEB site of teafor2.com    I'll not be posting any more notices of photo availability until this is resolved.  

What can they do?   They can delete the over 168,000 pictures stored on RootsWEB, as well as the Guest Book and remove my access to add pictures or pages to their site.

Why are the posting to boards important?   In prior testing I could see over a ten times increase of traffic to my cemetery site with the posts as compared to just putting the data out there on teafor2.com

What is behind these problems?   The head company in their organization was MyFamily.com but is now The Genealogy Network (TGN.com)  and they are rebranding all of their sites to have a consistent look.    Also they flatly stopped even their own advertisements from being placed on their "Freepages" where I had all my WEB pages.   This meant that the, about $200, income I saw monthly which I used to buy gasoline, domain names, ISP's costs, disk drives, etc. would not come in anymore.   Also they changed the place where Associates, who post their ads,  could get their ads and none seem to produce sales any more.

I'll try to keep teafor2.com updated as best I can, and pursue getting another place to store pictures online.   Again, all want some money to store about 40gig of data online..  I've got all of them backed up just in case the worst happens.

As of May 1, 2004 I will no longer accept individual photographs.  This is because it is a lot of trouble and they do not get the exposure your photos need, and because there are 2 excellent sites that allow you to place your pictures online for others to see (Find-A-Grave and Virtual-Cemetery, see other sites page) search, etc.     Complete Cemeteries are another thing.   I will still offer assistance for people wanting to place complete cemeteries online, whether on my site or on their own site.
